Participants aged 65 or older with a medical diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes are needed for a University of West Indies (Cave Hill) study conducted by Student Researcher Jamie Hinds. The study will look at the perceived role of social support in self-management of Type 2 diabetes among Barbadians 65 yrs and older before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The premium for our Life Benefit has been increased to $58.00 per year an increase of $18.00. The Board of Directors confirmed the increase following talks with our Broker Gallagher Insurance.
Our options were as follows; de-link and pay the annual premium of ( approx. $186 ) .

BARP President Marilyn Rice-Bowen pleads with pensioners who are collecting cheques from post offices to practice social distancing to fight COVID-19. After recent videos and images circulating revealed some pensioners in crowded lines, the president made an impassioned plea to the high risk group while complimenting those who kept a safe distance.
