Extended Opening Hours

In a special effort to facilitate our members, the BARP Office will open on the last Saturday of the month of January and February 2018 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and will have extended hours on Monday March 26 to Wednesday March 28, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please note that the BARP Office will be opened on the following dates:

1)      Saturday January 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

2)      Saturday February 24, 2018 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

3)      Monday March 26, Tuesday March 27 and Wednesday March 28, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Dame Sandra Mason

Dame Sandra Mason congrats

The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of the Barbados Association of Retired Persons Inc. (BARP), congratulates Dame Sandra Mason on her appointment as Barbados' 8th Governor General.

We are pleased that her servce as a distinguished jurist has been recognised and we are very proud to acknowledge her contribution as she continues to offer outstanding service to Barbados and the Caribbean.

Effective January 1st, 2018, there is an additional $40.00 per year subscription which will be put towards insurance coverage for each BARP member for final expenses (payable upon death) in the amount of BDS $5,000.00. The implementation of this Life Benefit requires ALL members to visit the BARP Office to complete the necessary documentation. Therefore, ALL renewals at the Post Offices island wide have been immediately discontinued.
