Are you a BARP member 70 years or older and still driving?
Well, if you are, here’s some good news for you.
BARP has teamed up with Urgent Care Mobile to offer annual medical examinations for those who need physicals to get their driver’s license renewed.
These medical checks which should last approximately 20 minutes will be held every Wednesday and only by appointment. They will be done by Urgent Care in its mobile facility at BARP’s Mervue, Hastings, Christ Church headquarters.
What’s also noteworthy about this new service is that it is coming at a highly discounted cost of $50 to BARP members.
Well don’t delay, call Urgent Care at 538 3838 and set up your appointment, to make use of this new service for BARP members.
There are additional big benefits to this medical check-up being offered to BARP’s 70 and over age group.
Managing Director of Urgent Care Mobile, Dr Bandele Majeks said,” I find that doing these medicals give us the opportunity to pick up on subtle changes that are happening with your body over time.”
Under the partnership, the seniors will receive a general examination, coordination and balance, visual and hearing tests, and they will be immediately issued with their medical certificate.
BARP is listening and responding to the concerns of its members which is why it has promoted this initiative. President Marilyn Rice Bowen is promising BARP will be lobbying for more benefits for its members over 70 who are still driving.
